The temporary interruption is now lifted by the European Commission

06.07.2012

As you were previously informed, an audit from the European Commission was carried out at the end of September 2011 in the United Kingdom. The purpose of the audit was to test the quality of the First Level Control system in UK. Following the audit results, the European Commission decided for a temporary interruption of the payment deadline for the UK expenditure (in application of Article 91 of Regulation (EC) 1083/2006).

We are now very glad to inform you that the temporary interruption is finally lifted by the European Commission.

The Programme has received an official letter from DG REGIO confirming this information and the outstanding payment should follow. We will be therefore able to pay the claims in full, including the expenditure declared by the English beneficiaries.
